There’s another round of significant increases to the Centrelink pension rates flowing through to the amount you can have and still receive a part pension from Centrelink.

The new payment rates see a hike of about $30 a fortnight.

These are the latest pension rates that you can expect per fortnight if you're receiving a full pension:

This affects the upper cut-off under the income test. Remember it is NOT taxable income or cashflow that Centrelink look at. Refer to Netplan Session 4 for a refresher on how the income and asset tests work.

And of course, this affects the asset test limits.

Incredibly, a home-owning couple can now have a million dollars in assets and still receive a part-pension.

Remember, the minimum you can receive is the pension supplement amount which for singles, is $57.20 per fortnight and for couples, $43.10 each or 86.20 per fortnight if both qualify.
